GR&S, Inc. Announces Completion of the Improvements and New Construction for the

Jordan Lake State Park Administrative Office and Visitor Center

RALEIGH (December 11, 2007) Geo. Raper & Son, Inc. (GR&S, Inc.) announces the completion of the Jordan Lake State Park Administrative Office and Visitor Center.  The 10,500 square-foot building, located at 280 State Park Road.

The $1.8 million project included building a new exhibit hall, mini auditorium and classroom, walking trail to Jordan Lake Pier and renovation of the administrative offices. The architect for the project was John Hitch, AIA of Smith Sinnett Associates.

“We were proud to work on such a great project,” said Steve Raper, vice president of GR&S. “We hope the community is able to use and enjoy these updated facilities for many years to come.”

The North Carolina Department of Parks and Recreation is planning a grand opening for the new building in winter 2008.
